This project was started in the spring of 2024 and was completed in the early Spring of 2025.
As the name implies, this project is focused on the nearest galaxies to us. Don’t make the mistake of thinking all nearby galaxies are big and bright. Many of them are small with low surface brightness. You will find many familiar ones but also many obscure ones, especially in our local group.
The logbook below contains 96 galaxies as of April ’25. I plan to update as I capture more in the future.
